Treatments

Chinese Medicine is an entire system of medicine, and as such can effectively treat a wide variety of health conditions. Treatment is aimed at correcting underlying disharmony within the body to relieve conditions. Once relief is achieved, further treatments will help to consolidate treatment and strengthen the body, and help prevent the disease from recurring. Once you reach a state of wellness , the knowledge you have gained during your course of treatment with us will enable you to maintain a true sense of well-being.

Preventative Treatment

Preventative treatment takes place whilst the body is healthy and strong , in order to correct imbalances that may lead to a certain disease or condition. Once relief from a condition is obtained it is often beneficial to have follow up treatments to consolidate and build upon the initial progress obtained. This can help to prolong the time before any symptom recurrence and return the body to a stronger position than previously. Chinese Medicine works well at all levels of health: relieving symptoms, healing illness, achieving health, maintaining well-being.

At Discover Chinese Medicine we believe that achieving health and maintaining well-being is not just about being symptom free or about being healed of illness. When your body is functioning at its best, all aspects of your body and mind are in harmony with each other and you feel fantastic.

Then, come back for treatment when you feel you need a top-up - but before you get sick. It's much easier on you and your energy "reserves" to keep your body strong by being pro-active with your health than by reactively addressing your needs once you're already sick. One of the earliest Chinese Medicine texts puts great emphasis on preventative medicine:

If we begin to dig a well when we are already thirsty, or start to forge our weapons only after the war has begun, is this not too late?
